Estimated volume profile
Approximate volume distribution from the last 90 candles. Amber marks the largest estimated bucket (POC); brighter buckets form the 70% estimated value area. The dashed line marks the last price.
?
This chart groups volume by an estimated price instead of by time. Each candle's entire volume is assigned to its typical price: (high + low + close) / 3. POC means point of control, the bucket receiving the most volume under that approximation. The value area collects about 70% of the assigned volume. Candle data cannot tell us the actual volume traded at every price, so this is not an order-flow or tick-by-tick profile. Nor is any one feed a complete consolidated tape: in live mode the source covers IEX only, which excludes trading on other exchanges.

Volatility estimate
Open this tab to run the two-stage estimate: Garman-Klass realized volatility with a HAR / GARCH(1,1) filter, then an LSTM residual correction. The network is trained on the loaded history, so the first run takes a minute or two and shows its progress. That training runs in a background worker, so the rest of the desk stays responsive while it works. Nothing needs to be installed or running.
Backtest chronological hold-out, no look-ahead
Metrics appear with the forecast.
Realized vs predicted volatility
Out-of-sample test window. Grey is realized Garman-Klass volatility, amber is the stage-1 HAR estimate, green adds the LSTM residual correction. Values are percent per bar; lower means calmer.

Economic calendar USD releases · one week open, the rest one press away
One whole week is always open, Sunday to Saturday in New York time, with every event on it; the weeks after it come from Nasdaq's public calendar. Each further week is one press away. Days with nothing are left out rather than padded, and a week neither source has published yet is not invented either - it fills itself in, because the desk re-reads the calendar every hour and again when the New York day rolls over. Anything the provider has not rated yet is marked not rated and cannot trigger impact-based alerts, so nothing is quietly treated as unimportant.
Alerts
Price alerts on the current symbol. Each one fires once and is then removed. While the desk is open — including when the tab is in the background — an alert arrives three ways: as a system notification, as a sound, and as a red count on this tab in the rail. How all three behave is set under Desktop alerts below, and they stop with the tab or the browser.
Financial calendar alerts
Scheduled US economic releases from the Calendar tab. They fire the same way as price alerts — while the desk is open and they also stop when the browser is closed. The same preference is shared by both tabs and stays in this browser.
Desktop alerts badge · sound · system notification, all yours to set
Everything above arrives here the same three ways: a red count on the Alerts tab in the rail, a sound you choose, and — if you allow it — a system notification your desktop shows even when this window is behind others. Each is its own switch, and the tone, the volume and the quiet hours are yours. Nothing is uploaded: the permission, the settings and the badge live in this browser, and an alert only ever fires while this tab is open.
Risk calculator
Arithmetic only: divides a chosen dollar amount by the distance between the two prices you enter.
?
The total size of the account the trade is being sized against, in dollars. It is used only to turn the risk percentage into a dollar amount; the calculator places no trade.
?
How much of the account you are willing to lose if the stop is hit, as a percent of the whole account. This is a number you choose; it is not a recommendation.
?
The price you expect to enter the trade at. The distance from here to the stop is the per-share risk the position size is built from.
?
The price at which you would exit to cap the loss. It must differ from the entry: a wider stop means fewer shares for the same dollar risk.
Backtester
Replays an EMA 9/21 crossover on the loaded bars, long above and short below. One short window and no costs: a sanity check, not proof.
?
The rule is fixed and simple: go long when the 9-period EMA crosses above the 21-period EMA, go short when it crosses below, and flip on the next opposite cross. It runs only on the bars currently loaded, with no costs, no slippage and no position sizing, so it says whether the rule was consistent in this window - not whether it makes money.
Scanner
Alpaca most-active and top-movers. May need a paid market-data plan.
?
Shows which symbols are trading the most volume right now (most active) and which moved the most, up or down (top movers). Without Alpaca keys it instead ranks the largest moves among the symbols in your own watchlist, from the daily bars the page already holds, and says so on screen.

Plain-English guides with interactive exercises for every desk tab. No jargon, no hype, nothing uploaded.
Each page has a plain-English explanation, an interactive calculator/chart, a worked example, and the math behind it. Open any page, try your own numbers, then open the matching desk tab to apply it.
Settings
These keys are optional. The desk already works with no account at all: it replays a small bundled sample session that ships with the page, whose prices are generated demonstration data, labelled as such at the top of the desk. Adding your own free Alpaca keys upgrades it to current prices, 1-minute bars, the live trade stream and the symbol's own news feed.
Keys stay in this browser only, are sent only to Alpaca, and never reach us. Use Paper-account keys, not live trading keys. Saved keys are not encrypted in browser storage; avoid shared computers. There is no AI key to enter: the overview is written on our server and shared by visitors.
Optional: get free Alpaca keys for live data
- Make a free account at alpaca.markets, then click the link Alpaca emails you to confirm your address. No card, no cost.
- Stay on the Paper account. The switcher is in the top-left corner of the dashboard; Paper uses pretend money but gives the same live market data.
- Open the API Keys panel on the right-hand side of the dashboard. Cannot find it? Search the word "API".
- Click Generate New Key and copy the Key ID (it starts with PK) and the Secret Key. The secret is shown once.
- Paste them into the two boxes below and press Save and connect.
Why: TickSPY shows real prices, and Alpaca is the free service that supplies them. Your keys stay in this browser, are sent only to Alpaca, and never reach us. Prefer pictures? See the illustrated guide.
Use free mode instead forgets any saved keys and returns the desk to the no-account feed below, where it started.
Choose the symbol, timeframe and tab you want a new visit to open on. The landing page's Personalize panel writes the same setting; this button simply saves whatever is on screen now.
