Risk Disclosure

TickSPY is operated by Tickspycorp, Québec, Canada. Contact: tickspysupport@gmail.com. This Risk Disclosure forms part of, and must be read with, the Terms of Use and the Privacy Policy.
TickSPY is an educational and research tool, provided for educational and informational purposes only. It is not a financial adviser, broker, dealer, portfolio manager or data vendor. Nothing it shows is financial, investment, trading, legal or tax advice, and nothing it shows is a recommendation, solicitation or offer to buy, sell or hold any security.

1. Educational purpose only — not financial advice

The desk exists to help you learn how charts, indicators, volatility estimates, patterns, an economic calendar and market headlines fit together, and to let you practise with them. Every number, label, sentence and machine-written summary on the site is general information prepared without any knowledge of your objectives, financial situation, risk tolerance or needs. It is not tailored to you and must not be relied on as though it were.

If you want advice about whether to buy, sell or hold anything, consult a licensed professional who knows your circumstances. Do not treat TickSPY as a substitute for that advice.

2. No advisory, brokerage or fiduciary relationship

Using TickSPY creates no advisory, brokerage, dealer, portfolio-management or fiduciary relationship of any kind. TickSPY does not place trades, hold funds or securities, manage accounts, or execute orders, and it is not registered as an adviser or dealer with any securities regulator.

3. Risk of loss

Trading and investing involve substantial risk of loss, up to and including the total loss of your capital. Leverage, margin, short selling and options can produce losses greater than the amount you deposit, and you may owe money. Markets can move against you quickly, and illiquid or volatile instruments can be difficult to exit. You alone are responsible for your decisions and their consequences. Never trade with money you cannot afford to lose, and never make a trading decision based solely on this tool.

4. Estimates are not predictions

Indicators, scores, bias readings, regime labels and volatility estimates are statistical summaries of past data. They are not predictions and they can be wrong. A model can be mis-specified, overfit, or degrade silently when market conditions change. Anything the desk reports about reliability or accuracy describes past out-of-sample behaviour only and may not persist. A "bias score" is not a probability, and a bullish or bearish label is not a forecast.

5. Hypothetical and simulated performance

Any backtest, walk-forward figure or historical study is hypothetical and simulated. It is prepared with the benefit of hindsight and does not represent actual trading. It excludes commissions, fees, spreads, slippage, market impact, liquidity constraints, taxes, financing and borrow costs, and it covers limited samples and particular market conditions. Hypothetical performance has many inherent limitations, and past or simulated performance is not indicative of future results. No representation is made that any account would or could achieve similar results.

6. Market data and accuracy

Without your own Alpaca keys, the desk replays a small bundled sample session whose prices are generated demonstration data, not a real market session and not a current quote; it is labelled as such on screen. With your own free Alpaca keys, price data is supplied by Alpaca and, through it, exchange feeds such as IEX, which may be delayed, incomplete, unavailable or inaccurate, and which is not a consolidated quote or the NBBO. Headlines, calendar entries and the shared market overview come from third-party feeds and may be wrong, out of date or missing. Verify anything important at its original source before acting on it.

7. Machine-generated commentary

The one piece of machine-written text on the desk is a shared market overview produced from public headlines and scheduled events. It is unverified and may be inaccurate, incomplete, out of date or entirely fabricated. It makes no recommendation. Treat it as a draft to check, never as a statement of fact.

8. Third-party services you connect

Your use of any service you connect — such as Alpaca — is governed by your own agreement with that provider, including its usage limits, data-licence terms and fees. Tickspycorp is not a party to those agreements and takes no responsibility for those services.

9. No warranty and limitation of liability

The service is provided "as is" and "as available". To the extent permitted by law, Tickspycorp makes no warranty of accuracy, availability, security or fitness for a particular purpose and is not liable for any loss arising from reliance on the data, estimates or commentary on this site. Nothing in this disclosure excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable protections for intentional or gross fault, bodily or moral injury, and mandatory consumer rights. Your statutory rights remain available.

10. Eligibility and questions

TickSPY is intended for people aged 18 or older. It is not directed at anyone in a jurisdiction where its use would be unlawful. Questions about this disclosure: tickspysupport@gmail.com. These pages are governed by the laws of Québec and the federal laws of Canada applicable there, subject to mandatory protections and jurisdiction rights where you live.
