Data center revenue guidance raised for next quarter
Free market analysis desk
Every number,explained.
TickSPY draws the candles, runs 14 indicators, a volatility model, the news and the calendar for any US ticker, then says what each reading means in one plain sentence. No account required, and nothing held back behind a paywall.
With no account the desk replays a bundled sample session, whose prices are generated demonstration data. Current prices and 1-minute bars need your own Alpaca keys.

Opens with no account
The chart, the indicators, the news and the calendar are there the moment you open it, reading a bundled sample session that the desk labels as generated demonstration data. Nothing is gated behind a sign-up.
Free keys make it live
Add read-only Alpaca keys you generate yourself and the same panels switch to live intraday quotes and streaming candles.
One overview for everyone
The written market summary is generated once on our own server and served from one cached copy, not re-written per visitor.
The desk
Four views of the same market.
Click through them. Every figure on this page is generated in your browser from a simulated series, so it moves the way the real desk moves without pretending to be today’s quote.
Currently showing simulated demo data — a generated sample session, not real or current market prices. Open the desk and add a free Alpaca key in Settings for live market feeds.
What is in the desk
Everything the desk can do is on the free tier, with nothing held back behind an account.
Live prices and the chart
Type any US ticker and the desk draws the candles, with ATR 14, VWAP, Bollinger %B and a volume strip beside them. Every reading has a question mark next to it that explains, in one sentence, what the number is actually measuring.
With no account at all you get a bundled sample session, which the page labels as generated demonstration data rather than real market prices — enough to see how the desk reads a day. Add free read-only Alpaca keys that you generate yourself and the same panels switch to live intraday quotes that move as the bars arrive. The keys stay in your browser — there is no server of ours for them to be sent to.
Named candle patterns, marked on the chart
The desk scans every bar for formations it can name — hammer, engulfing, shooting star — and marks the ones it finds with a note on what that shape usually means.
One reading from 0 to 100, and what it is not
Trend, momentum and volume roll into a single number. It describes what the indicators say at that moment, and it is not a forecast. Measured across five years of 5-minute SPY bars, bullish and bearish readings were followed by much the same returns, which is exactly why the desk never presents the score as a prediction.
A volatility estimate you can audit
Garman-Klass realized volatility feeds a walk-forward HAR(1,5,22) model, with a GARCH(1,1) cross-check alongside it. A gated LSTM correction stage is wired up, but it currently earns no weight in the shipped build, so in practice this is HAR-only. Over five years of 5-minute SPY bars it beat a naive baseline by 10-16% RMSE in every fold tested. The record also writes down where it does badly, including that only one ticker and one timeframe were ever tested.
Headlines with their own summary attached
Each headline arrives with the short summary its publisher wrote and the name of the source it came from, so you can see who is talking. On top of that, one market overview is written once on our server from the public headlines and the day's scheduled events, then served to every visitor from the same cached copy. It adds no view of its own.
An economic calendar you can be warned by
CPI, jobs reports and Fed decisions, grouped by day and filtered to the releases with medium or high impact. Set an alert and the desk warns you before one lands, so a scheduled number does not catch you in the middle of a position.
Also in the desk:
- Key levels
- Multi-timeframe view
- Relative strength
- Volume profile
- Price alerts
How it works
What happens after you type a ticker
There is nothing to configure and no manual to read first. The whole loop is three steps long and it starts the moment the desk opens.
- 01
Type a ticker
Any US listed symbol works — large caps, small caps and ETFs alike. You are not limited to the handful of names everyone already watches.

The numbers get checked
Trend, momentum, volatility and volume are recomputed as each bar closes, and each reading is paired with a sentence explaining what it measures.
- TrendEMA 9 measured against EMA 21
- MomentumRSI, MACD and the stochastic
- VolatilityATR and the Bollinger bands
- Volumevolume against its usual level
Every reading arrives with one sentence saying what it measures.
- 03
You decide
TickSPY hands over the readings and stops there. It never tells you to buy or sell, and the volatility model estimates how large a move may be rather than which way it will go.
Reading · demo dataNeutral 52Price is above VWAP, the trend is up, and volatility is normal for this time of day. Nothing high impact on the calendar before the afternoon.
The desk never says buy or sell. The reading describes what the indicators show right now.

How to create and paste your free Alpaca keys
You do not need any of this to look around. With no keys at all, the desk still opens with the last completed session's prices, the news, the calendar and a shared market overview. Free keys from Alpaca are what make it live.
You make them yourself in about two minutes. Below is every click, one at a time, with the button to press highlighted in green.
Why Alpaca?
TickSPY does not keep its own copy of the market. Alpaca is the free service that sends it live prices. Your key is simply how Alpaca knows it is really you asking.
Free, and read-only is enough
A free Alpaca account includes the data TickSPY uses. You never enter a card, you never fund an account, and TickSPY never places a trade. It only reads prices.
Your keys stay yours
They are saved only inside your own browser, on your own device, and sent only to Alpaca. They are never sent to us, because there is no server of ours to send them to.
- 01Go to alpaca.markets
Make a free Alpaca account
Open alpaca.markets in a new tab and press Sign up in the top-right corner. Enter your email and a password, then open the message Alpaca emails you and click Confirm Email.
Look forSign up
Why: This account is what lets Alpaca issue you a personal key. Confirming your email is what unlocks the dashboard — until you click it, Alpaca will not let you generate keys at all.

- 02Paper, not Live
Stay on the Paper account
Alpaca has two modes: Paper, which uses pretend money, and Live, which uses real money. Once you are signed in, the account switcher sits in the top-left corner of the dashboard — make sure Paper is the one selected. If a page ever asks for your ID card or bank details, you have slipped into Live; switch back to Paper.
Look forPaper (top-left)
Why: Paper gives you everything TickSPY needs — exactly the same live market data — with none of the risk. It is the safest place to start, and you can switch later whenever you want.

- 03On the dashboard
Open the API Keys panel
On your Alpaca dashboard, the API Keys panel sits on the right-hand side of the Home page. If you cannot spot it straight away, use the search box at the top and type API. That panel is where Alpaca hands out your keys.
Look forAPI Keys
Why: Alpaca deliberately keeps keys together in one panel, so they are easy to find and just as easy to switch off again if one ever gets loose.

Generate New Key - 04Copy both
Generate a key and copy both parts
Press Generate New Key — on some layouts the button reads "Generate New Keys". Alpaca then shows two values: an API Key ID (it starts with the letters PK) and a Secret Key. Copy each one, or press the copy button beside it, and keep this tab open for a moment.
Look forGenerate New Key
Why: The Key ID is like a username and the Secret Key is like a password. The Secret Key is shown only once, so copy it now — otherwise you will have to delete the pair and make a fresh one.

Paste them into TickSPY
Open the TickSPY desk below and go to the Settings tab. Paste the Key ID into the first box and the Secret Key into the second, then press Save. The desk starts loading live prices straight away.

Why: Your keys are saved inside your own browser only — never on a server of ours. They are sent to Alpaca and to nobody else, and you can remove them at any time by clearing the boxes.

Common questions
Is it safe to paste my keys?
Yes, as long as it is your own browser. The keys live in your browser's local storage on this device. They are sent only to Alpaca, never to us or anyone else. Treat them like a password and do not share them or paste them on a public computer.
What if I lose the Secret Key?
Nothing breaks. Go back to the API Keys page, delete the old key, and generate a new one. Then paste the new Key ID and Secret into TickSPY again.
Do I have to pay anything?
No. TickSPY is free and the Alpaca market data it uses is included with a free account. You never enter a card and you never fund the account.
Do I also need a Gemini key?
No, and there is nowhere to enter one. TickSPY needs an Alpaca key to show prices, and that is the only key the desk asks for. The one piece of machine-written text here is a single shared market overview, written on our own server from the public headlines and the scheduled events and shown to every visitor from the same copy. Your browser never talks to an AI provider.
It says the prices are not loading. What now?
Check that you copied each value completely, with no extra spaces at the start or end, and that you used the Key ID, not the Secret, in the first box. Then press Save again.
Ready when you are
Have your two keys copied? Open the desk, paste them into Settings, and you are done. Your keys stay in your browser, and you can remove them whenever you like.
Alerts that find you
A badge, a sound, a notification — each one a switch.
Price levels, VWAP distances, patterns and the releases that move the market arrive three ways at once: a system notification, a tone you choose at a volume you set, and a red count on the Alerts tab. No account and no server — the permission and every setting stay in your browser.
- 01
Add a rule in the desk
Price above or below a level, above or below VWAP, or any pattern that appears — plus economic releases, warned a chosen number of minutes before they land and again on release.
- 02
Press Allow notifications
The browser asks, not us: the permission belongs to your system and can be withdrawn there at any time. Deny it and nothing breaks — the sound and the badge keep working on their own.
- 03
Set how it behaves
Four tones, a volume slider, the badge on or off, and quiet hours for the night. Play a test alert to hear it before you rely on it. Every setting is stored in this browser under one key.
- Open the Alerts tabFree · nothing to sign up for
The browser will ask once for permission to show notifications, and you can withdraw it whenever you like in your browser's site settings. The desk never asks for an email, a phone number or a name.
TickSPY
desktop alert · example
SPY is above 500.00
Now 501.25 — price alert from TickSPY.
An alert reports that a condition was observed. No direction, no target, no advice — and never a trade.
Three ways out, each a switch
A system notification your desktop shows even behind other windows, a tone you chose at a volume you set, and a red count on the Alerts tab. Use one, two or all three.
No account, no server, nothing sent
The permission, the tone and the badge live in your browser. No email, no phone number, no sign-up — and no server is ever told that an alert fired.
Honest about the limits
Alerts fire while the desk is open, including with the tab in the background, and they stop with the tab. Quiet hours hold the sound and the notification while the badge keeps counting.
Your desk, not a template
No account. Still yours.
Pick the tickers you actually follow and the view you want to land on. The desk opens with both already set.
- A watchlist that stays putUp to twelve symbols, in the order you choose.
- An opening view, not a click-throughSymbol, timeframe and the first tab are saved.
- Local by constructionStored in this browser only. No account, no email, no profile on a server.
Your watchlist
The desk reads this exact list when you open it.
Opening view
OverviewWhere the desk should start when you open it.
The 1-minute view needs your own Alpaca keys. Without keys, the free feed opens the nearest timeframe it can serve (5 minutes).
These are the same local keys the desk uses. Clearing this site's browser data removes them. Nothing is sent to a TickSPY account, because there is no account.
The measured record
The parts we would rather not print are on this page too.
A trading tool that only describes its good days is not giving you analysis, it is giving you a pitch. So here is the whole picture, including the results that argue against us.
It costs nothing, and there is no second tier to upgrade to.
No paywall, no trial that quietly expires, no “pro” panel kept dark until you pay. Every tool the desk has, everyone gets, on the same day it is built.
Every number arrives with the sentence that explains it.
If a label needs looking up, we wrote it badly. This is the level of detail behind each reading:
- ATR 14
- How far this stock typically travels in a single bar, averaged over the last fourteen.
- Bollinger %B
- Where price sits inside its normal range: 0 at the lower band, 1 at the upper.
Any US ticker, not only the ten names everyone already watches.
The same panels run on whatever you type into the search box.
- SPY
- QQQ
- IWM
- DIA
- AAPL
- MSFT
- NVDA
- TSLA
- AMD
- COIN
- and the rest
The results that go against us are printed beside the ones that do not.
A model described only on its good days is marketing. The measured record sits directly underneath, caveats and all.
What was actually measured
Volatility model
Over five years of 5-minute SPY bars, the walk-forward HAR(1,5,22) estimate with a GARCH(1,1) cross-check cut RMSE by 10–16% against a naive baseline, in every fold we tested.
Only one ticker and one timeframe were tested. The LSTM correction stage is wired up but carries no weight in the shipped build, so in practice this is HAR-only. Where it does badly is written down inside the desk.
Indicator score
The same five years, split by reading: bullish and bearish scores were followed by much the same returns.
That is why the score is described as what trend, momentum and volume are doing right now. It is not a forecast, and the page never presents it as one.
Left unmeasured
The news lean and the pattern labels carry no accuracy claim anywhere on this site.
Neither was ever scored against outcomes, so neither gets a number. We would rather leave a figure out than print one we cannot reproduce.
